The conference on Long Term Sustainability of the Research Infrastructures, organised under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency by the Ministry of Education and Science, attracted 273 participants from 30 countries.

One year ago in January 2017 the Division of Physics in Life Sciences (DPL) organised the first Biology for Physics conference of what should become a regular conference series approaching physics from a biological perspective.

The 45th European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics will take place in Prague from 2nd to 6th July 2018.
In collaboration with the Donostia International Physics Center in Donostia-San Sebastian, the EPS interdivisional group for the History of physics will organise the 3rd International Conference on the History of Physics under the auspices of the European Physical Society from 17–21 October 2018. This will be co-organised with the 4th Early-Career Conference for Historians in the Physical Sciences of the American Institute of Physics hopefully allowing for a vigorous conference.
