It is a new high-quality offer for international young scientists and at the same time a further important step for cosmic radiation research: The European Space Agency (ESA) and the international accelerator center FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research), which is currently being built at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt, will establish a joint Summer School for Radiation Research. The “ESA-FAIR Radiation Summer School” has now been initiated by decision of both institutions.
Registrations for the 2017 Summer School of Particle and Astroparticle Physics of Annecy-le-Vieux are now open (GraSPA 2017).
The international summer school “Fundamental Problems in Statistical Physics” is to be held for the fourteenth time in the summer of 2017 in Bruneck, a picturesque town in the Italian Alps.
This year, the 31th summer school for young physicists was held from 20-26 June 2016 in Veli Losinj, Croatia. The school was attended by 31 students who were all competitors in state and international physics competitions, tournaments and Olympiads.
One of the most beautiful and evocative places in Italy, the city of Erice in Sicily, was the location of an International School on Renewable and Sustainable Energies from 13-19 July 2016.
The 3rd edition of the Joint EPS-SIF International School on Energy will be organised together with the 69th Course of the International School of Solid State Physics: “Materials for Energy and Sustainability V” and will take place from 13 – 19 July 2016 in Erice, Italy.
The STEAM Summer School provides training in science communication for university students, researchers, and educators. It innovatively marries science and art in science communication practice. The 10-day programme (13-22 July, 2016) at Rhine-Waal University (Dutch/German border) offers a unique experience in science communication training.
Registration for the 2016 Summer School of Particle and Astroparticle Physics [GraSPA 2016] in Annecy-le-Vieux, France is now open.
The goal of the school is to introduce Particle Physics and Astroparticle Physics to 3rd and 4th year physics students while at the same time touching upon the latest results and challenges in these fields.
The Inspiring Science Education Academy 2016 [ISE] is specifically designed for teaching professionals in STEM disciplines and consists of several courses. The main objectives of all ISE courses are to introduce teachers to implementing Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE). Teachers and education professionals will be trained in transferring the concept of scientific methodology into the classroom and linking it with the numerous collections of open digital educational resources to design innovative educational scenarios.
