Norwegian Physicist Meeting

The Norwegian Physicist Meeting will be held in Tromsø, Norway, from 7-9 August 2017. It will be organised by the Norwegian Physical Society in collaboration with the Department of Physics and Technology at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway.

The Norwegian Physicist meeting will be held from 7–9 August 2017 in Tromsø, Norway.

The venue is the new Technology building, home of the Physics and Technology, and Engineering departments at University of Tromsø, The Arctic University of Norway.

Lecture series at the University of Oslo Library

The International Year of Light and Light Technologies is celebrated by a series of lectures at the University of Oslo Library. This fall, the series continue as follows, given by:
• Torunn Kjeldstad, Center of material science and nanotechnology, on solar cells, a hot topic in renewable energy, 1 September 2015.
• Mats Carlsson, Department of Theoretical Astrophysics, on the sunlight – a key to knowledge, 6 October 2015,
• Johan E. Moan, Department of Physics, on sun and health, 3 November 2015,
• Pål Brekke, Norwegian Space Center, on the Aurora – from myths to tourist attraction, 1 December 2015.

Show Physics 2012

The ShowPhysics 2012 conference is being held in Bergen, Norway on 16-21 April this year. The event, being organised by EuroPhysicsFun, will include both lectures and workshops, and aims to bring together parties interested in, or presently performing, physics shows.
