EuroScience selects Trieste to organize ESOF 2020 and Leiden/The Hague for ESOF 2022
EuroScience and the ESOF Supervisory Board are proud to announce that the EuroScience Open Forum 2020 will be hosted from 4 to 10 July 2020 in Trieste, Italy, and that ESOF 2022 will be organized by Leiden/The Hague, The Netherlands, in July 2022. We received two impressive and solid full bids from Trieste and Leiden/The Hague, and we wish to recognize both cities’ credentials to become the European City of Science in 2020, respectively 2022.
New EuroScience prize – “Recognition of Lifetime Achievements for European Science and Society”
European Commission, Director-General for Research & Innovation, Mr. Robert-Jan Smits announced as first recipient.

ESOF calls for proposals
The Euroscience Open Forum [ESOF] is a biennial, interdisciplinary, pan-European general science meeting, which aims to showcase the latest advances in science and technology, promote a dialogue on the role of science and technology in society and public policy; and stimulate and provoke public interest, excitement and debate about science and technology.

2012 Euroscience Open Forum travel grants
A number of travel grants are currently available to attend the 2012 Euroscience Open Forum [ESOF2012], which is being held in Dublin on 11-15 July this year. Held biennially, ESOF is a pan-European meeting dedicated to scientific research and innovation.
