Nominations are now open for the Edison Volta Prize of the European Physical Society [EPS]. The award – intended to promote excellence in research – will be given in recognition of outstanding research and achievements in physics.
The EPS Edison Volta Prize is given biennially to individuals or groups of up to three people. The award consists of a diploma, a medal, and €10,000 in prize money.
Travel grants are available from EuroScience for postdocs in any field of physics to attend ESOF2020.

The board of the Nuclear Physics Division (NPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS) is seeking candidates to host a new EPS-NPD divisional conference in 2020. The conference will have a particular emphasis on Applied Nuclear Physics (ANP), with sections specifically devoted to themes such as energy, health, space, security, environment, material science, preservation and study of cultural heritage.
EuroScience and the ESOF Supervisory Board are proud to announce that the EuroScience Open Forum 2020 will be hosted from 4 to 10 July 2020 in Trieste, Italy, and that ESOF 2022 will be organized by Leiden/The Hague, The Netherlands, in July 2022. We received two impressive and solid full bids from Trieste and Leiden/The Hague, and we wish to recognize both cities’ credentials to become the European City of Science in 2020, respectively 2022.
