Nominations are now open for the Editor-in-Chief of EPL, a leading global letters journal owned and published by a consortium of 17 national physical societies in Europe. The Editor-in-Chief [EiC] needs to be a recognised authority and leading researcher in a field of physics, and have a broad knowledge and interest in physics and its frontiers. The EiC will need to demonstrate strong commitment and leadership to further develop EPL as a top-ranking journal. Experience with the editorial process for a physics journal is also desirable.

Physicists, college and high school physics teachers, physics students, as well as research and development personnel in industry, are invited to participate in the 39th Annual National Physics Seminar- Workshop/Convention with the theme “Physics, Urbanization and Inclusive Growth” to be held on April 5 – 8, 2017 at the University of San Carlos (USC), Talamban, Cebu City.
In August 2015, at Eötvös University (ELTE) in Budapest, the “Teaching Physics Innovatively” Conference (TPI-15) featured plenary presentations, contributed paper sessions and a panel discussion about recent challenges in physics education. The event was attended by more than 100 participants from 18 countries, and dedicated to the bringing together of teachers and scientists, mediators and promoters of physics, who may jointly build bridges between researchers and society.

The workshop entitled ¨Biology for Physics: is there new physics in living matter?¨iwill take place in Barcelona, Spain, from 15-18 January 2017. The workshop is organised under the auspices of the Division of Physics for Life Sciences from the European Physical Society [EPS], and will be held at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park [PRBB].
The biennial International EPS Conference on High Energy Physics will be held from Wednesday 5 to Wednesday 12 of July 2017 in Venice, Italy. This major conference will cover new physics results and more on Astroparticle physics and Cosmology, Neutrinos and Dark Matter, Flavour and CP violation, Standard Model and Beyond, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking, Quantum Field and String Theory, QCD and Heavy Ions, Accelerators and Detectors, Outreach, Education, and Diversity.
