The first edition of the Applied Nuclear Physics (ANP) Conference, a new conference of the EPS-Nuclear Physics Division, will take place in the charming capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, on September 13-18 2020 (Please note the change of date).

The conference will focus on applications of nuclear physics to energy, health, space, security, environment, material science, preservation and study of cultural heritage. In particular, it will address the following topics: ion beam analytical methods in material science; ion and neutron beam irradiation of materials; nuclear physics for energy and space technologies; nuclear analytical methods for environmental and archaeological studies; nuclear physics in medicine.

The ANPC complements the already existing series of NPD divisional conferences, comprising the European Nuclear Physics Conference (EuNPC) and the Nuclear Physics in Astrophysics (NPA) Conference. The main organiser of the ANP Conference is the Tandetron Laboratory of Center of Accelerators and Nuclear Analytical Methods (CANAM NPI), located in the Czech city of Rez. Several other institutes are contributing to the organisation, including the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Nuclear Physics Board of EPS.

The submission of abstracts will be open from December 2019 to May 2020, and early registration will be available from February 2020.
