EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities February 2019
1 February: David Lee, EPS Secretary General, met with K. van der Beek, chairperson of the EPS Condensed Matter Division, and Stefan Klotz from the European High Pressure Research Group to discuss a mutual collaborating society agreement in Paris (France).
4-6 February: David Lee attended the Open Schools for Open Societies consortium meeting in Dublin (Ireland).
7-8 February: Rüdiger Voss, EPS President, inaugurated the Jungfraujoch Research Station as an EPS Historic Site in Bern and at the Jungfraujoch, Switzerland. Gina Gunaratnam, administrative officer for the EPS Historic Sites, attended the ceremony.
14 February: Rüdiger Voss chaired a meeting of the EPS Executive Committee in Mulhouse attended also by David Lee.
18 February: Rüdiger Voss inaugurated the Department of Physics and Chemistry of the University of Palermo (Sicily, Italy) as an EPS Historic Site.
19 February: Rüdiger Voss participated in the opening of the First EPS Conference on Gravitation in Rome (Italy) organised by the EPS Gravitational Physics Division.
20 February: David Lee attended the review meeting for the CREATIONS project in Bayreuth (Germany).
22 February: David Lee and Patricia Helfenstein, EPS conference manager, attended the CLEO/Europe-EQEC steering committee meeting in Munich (Germany). The same day David Lee and Patricia Helfenstein attended the World of Photonics Congress steering committee meeting in Munich. Patricia Helfenstein also attended the CLEO/Europe-EQEC 2019 Chairs’ Meeting.
23 February: Patricia Helfenstein, Ahmed Ouarab, EPS IT manager, Ophélia Fornari, EPS conference assistant and Soria Amri, EPS temporary assistant, attended the CLEO/Europe-EQEC 2019 Technical Programme Committee Meeting in Munich.
24 February: Patricia Helfenstein, Ahmed Ouarab, Ophélia Fornari and Soria Amri attended the CLEO/Europe-EQEC 2019 Session Planning Meeting in Munich.
