EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities May 2018
May: Victor Zadkov, member of the EPS Executive Committee, was involved into the organising of the video record of the greetings from the International Space Station to the participants of the Official Opening of the International Day of Light at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on 16 May. 2 May: Rüdiger Voss, EPS president, represented EPS at the SESAME Council Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal.
3-4 May: Minh Quang Tran, member of the EPS Executive Committee, attended the Council and Commission Chair Meering of IUPAP in Nanyang Technical University, Singapore, as observer of EPS. He attended as chair of C16 Commission on Plasma Physics and represented EPS as observer.
3-5 May: Ophélia Fornari, EPS conference assistant, attended the 17th EPS Young Minds Action Committee Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, and the 7th Leadership Meeting of Young Minds.
4-5 May: Rüdiger Voss participated in the EPS Young Minds Action Committee and Leadership meetings in Prague, Czech Republic.
15 May: Luc Bergé, member of the EPS Executive Committee, met David Lee, EPS secretary general and Rüdiger Voss at SFP (French Physical Society), Paris, France, to finalise the documents for the new Associate Membership Programme of the EPS.
16 May: Patricia Helfenstein, EPS conference manager, Ophélia Fornari and Gina Gunaratnam, EPS communication coordinator, participated in the organisation of the inauguration of the International Day of Light held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. Rüdiger Voss, who represented EPS, Luc Bergé and David Lee also attended the Flagship Event.
18 May: Frédéric Burr, EPL staff editor, attended the EPL Editorial Meeting, Mulhouse, France.
