EPS Executive Committee and Staff activities April 2018
5 April: Rüdiger Voss, EPS President, chaired a meeting of the EPS Executive Committee (preparatory meeting for the EPS Council meeting).
6 – 7 April: Ophélia Fornari, conference assistant, Patricia Helfenstein, conference manager, Frédéric Burr, EPL staff editor, Sylvie Loskill, secretary, Gina Gunaratnam, communication coordinator and David Lee, Secretary General, participated in the organisation of the EPS Council Meeting in Paris, France.
12 April: David Lee participated in the Fysika conference organised by the NNV in Utrecht (NL)
16 – 17 April: David Lee, participated in a meeting to renew the publication contract for EPL in Bristol (UK)
17 April: Patricia Helfenstein attended a meeting at the UNESCO, Paris concerning the organisation of the inauguration of the International Day of Light (together with John Dudley and Jorge Rivero Gonzalez.)
18 – 21 April: Gertrud Zwicknagl, member of the EPS Executive Committee, participated in the round table “Research and Education in Physics” during the workshop on QUANTUM FIELDS AND NONLINEAR PHENOMENA in Sinaia, Romania. The round table, which was organised by EPS-Committee on European Integration, was chaired by David Lee, and Radu Constantinescu.
23 – 26 April: David Lee participated in the Open Science for Open Societies consortium meeting in Tel Aviv (IL).
