EGAS 46

The 46th Conference of the European Group of Atomic Systems [EGAS 46] will take place on 1-4 July 2014 in Lille, France.

The main goal of the EGAS conferences is to maintain contact between groups and individuals from different countries working on atomic systems and related fields. The conference series is organised by EGAS, a section of the European Physical Society’s Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division [EPS-AMOPD].

EGAS 46 will cover the following topics: Fundamental physics with atoms/molecules; Cold atoms and quantum gases; Quantum optics/information/cold ions; Molecular physics, cold molecules and molecular ions; Applications of AMO Physics: Astrophysics, sensors, plasma physics; Ultrafast processes; Photophysics and collisions, AMO physics at large facilities; Mesoscopic quantum systems; From few to many body; and many others key topics in the field.

The conference programme will include keynote speakers for each session as well as oral and poster presentations.

Abstract submission will be open from 27 January 2014 on and the deadline for both early bird registration and abstract submission is 1 April 2014.

In addition, there will be limited support available for students presenting a poster or giving a contributed oral presentation.
