ESCAMPIG XXII
The 22nd Europhysics Conference on Atomic and Molecular Physics of Ionized Gases [ESCAMPIG XXII] will be held from 15-19 July 2014 in Greifswald, Germany.
ESCAMPIG XXII is a biannual conference of the European Physical Society [EPS], in which experts on
plasma physics join together to discuss the latest advances in this field. The conference topics comprise basic and applied plasma research ranging from atomic and molecular processes in plasmas and plasma-surface interaction to self-organisation in plasmas and to the new research lines with low and high pressure plasma sources.
The conference is jointly organised by the Institute of Physics of the University Greifswald, the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology Greifswald and the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Greifswald branch.
The structure of the conference comprises plenary, invited, general and topical lectures, poster sessions, and several workshops.
The William Crookes’ Prize – co-sponsored by the EPS and the Institute of Physics Publishing ] through its journal Plasma Sources Science and Technology [PSST – will be awarded to a mid-career researcher who has made major contributions in one or more scientific topics covered by the ESCAMPIG. Nominations are open until 22 February 2014. For more information, visit the William Crooke’s Prize website.
In addition, the EPS grants one Poster Prize to award the PhD student presenting the best poster at the conference. Student nominations to the EPS poster prize should be sent to the LOC before 1 July 2014.
The deadline for submitting abstracts to ESCAMPIG XII is 22 February 2014. Early bird registration finishes on 18 April 2014.
More information is available on the ESCAMPIG XXII website.
