Held the first time in Munich in 1966, the European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics [EPS-CPP] will be organized for the 40th time this year. Hosted by the Aalto University, Finland, the 40th EPS-CPP will take place from 1-5 July 2013.

About 700 participants are expected to discuss the latest results related to fusion research, magnetic confinement fusion, beam plasmas, laser-plasma interaction and inertial confinement fusion, dusty and low temperature plasmas, as well as space and astrophysical plasmas and basic plasmas.

EPS Satellite Conference on Plasma Diagnostics, also organized by the EPS Plasma Physics Division, will be held in parallel to EPS-CPP. A joint session of both meetings will be devoted to how novel 2D and 3D diagnostic capabilities have improved our understanding of physics and how the needs for enhancing physics understanding drive the development of new 2D and 3D diagnostics.

Registration is open and reduced fees applied until 1 May 2013. Submissions will be open from 4-23 February 2013.
