The Renewable Energy and the Environment Congress will be held on 11-15 November 2012 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The congress consists of 4 collocated meetings, which cover optics and photonics in energy generation and conservation.

The event is being organised under the auspices of the Optical Society of America (OSA).

The 4 meetings of the congress will be:
- Optical Instrumentation for Energy & Environmental Applications (E2)
- Optical Nanostructures and Advanced Materials for Photovoltaics (V)
- Optics for Solar Energy (SOLAR)
- Solid State and Organic Lighting (SOLED).
